Recent Cases

December 2008 - Lewis Gainor successfully represented a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) before the Illinois Nursing Board concerning allegations of gross negligence resulting in the death of a patient. The Dept. of Professional Regulation sought to revoke the LPN's license, but Lewis Gainor was able to negotiate a minimal sanction allowing his client to continue practicing nursing.

August 2009 - Lewis Gainor represented a Registered Nurse (RN) who had been accused of testing positive for a controlled substance (a non-prescribed medication). The Department filed a disciplinary complaint and sought a sanction on the RN's license. Lewis Gainor was able to have the case dismissed with no public record of discipline.
